Further to the smoking debate : Cigarettes are not safe ; they use a hot smoke . A safer alternative is to use pipes .

Pipes provide a cooler smoke than cigarettes ; depending on how you light them . Use a jet lighter to singe the top or middle of the loaded tobacco and try to keep the pipe lit . 

I use recycled tobacco in my pipe sometimes . I've never tried pipe tobacco , it might the wrong tobacco to use . I don't know .
