Many crops failed this year , in Urban areas ; Possible explanations .

There was an absence of flies and other insects in my Home this year and last .

The choko vine produced few flowers and not much fruit . It produced less foliage though not significantly less and the foliage was healthy . It has a gall infection at the base which developed more extensively this year .

The naspli in the back street neighbours ' house did not fruit this Autumn .

It was wetter this year . The temperatures were more extreme than last year though not hotter but colder .

Rats were more abundant in my house and more prevalent in Footscray . Previous years we had more mice .

Perhaps the insects favour a higher warmer weather .

Perhaps the insects require a warmer drier Summer to mature .

Perhaps the choko was weakened by the gall infection .

Perhaps the choko needs some hotter days for flowerring .

Same with the naspli . They are warmer climate plants .

Perhaps the radiation of modern technology has a deleterious effect on insects .

Perhaps the change in ground electricity affected the metamorphosis of ground living insects .

Rats eat an omnivorous diet and mice eat Vegan . Perhaps there is more flesh some where around . Perhaps the rats ate the flies / fly eggs .

Conclusion :
